Фрагмент урока "Страницы истории. Персоналии." является частью мега-проекта "Забытые страницы школьного учебника", над которым работают учителя разных предметов. Материал учебника дополняется фактами из истории России. Происходит межпредметная интеграция таких школьных предметов, как история, основы православной культуры и иностранный язык. Включение дополнительного материала, основанного на истоках и культуре своей страны, способствует воспитанию чувства патриотизма и уважения к Родине, развитию навыков нравственно-этической оценки своих и чужих поступков.

Цели:
социокультурный аспект: знакомство учащихся с образом жизни и
взаимоотношениями в семье Николая II;
воспитательный аспект: формирование способности понимать и уважать
стремление других людей;
учебный аспект: научить осуществлять продуктивные речевые действия на
основе услышанного и прочитанного;
развивающий аспект: развитие способности делать выводы.
Задачи: - воспитание чувства патриотизма и уважения на примере семьи
Николая II;
- развитие навыков нравственно-этической оценки своих и чужих
поступков;
- развитие навыков аудирования;
- развитие навыка формирования устного высказывания по теме на
английском языке.

Look at the board. Here are some portraits. Can you guess what the theme of our lesson is? Speaking. Teacher: Today we are going to talk about well-known people who played a great role in history. Open your books on page 34 exercise 35. Look at the pictures and say which of these people were contemporaries or near contemporaries and what you know about them. Students: 1-7 Napoleon I was contemporary with Ludwig van Beethoven. Napoleon I was the Emperor of France. Beethoven was a famous German composer. 2-10 Queen Elizabeth I was contemporary with Tsar Ivan IV. Queen Elizabeth I was the queen of England. Tsar Ivan IV was a Russian tsar. 3-11 Margaret Thatcher was contemporary with Mikhail Gorbachev. Margaret Thatcher was a Prime Minister of Great Britain. Mikhail Gorbachev was the first President of Russia. 4-5 Marina Tsvetaeva was contemporary with Nicholas II. Marina Tsvetaeva was a poet. Nicholas II was Russian tsar and he was canonized. 6-9 Dante was contemporary with Prince Alexander Nevsky. Dante was an Italian poet, philosopher, and political thinker. Prince Alexander Nevsky was Prince of Novgorod and Kiev and Grand Prince of Vladimir, Alexander Nevsky is best known for stopping the advance of the Swedes 8-12 Charles Darwin was contemporary with Vladimir Dal. Charles Darwin was an English naturalist who collected evidence to prove the theory of evolution. Vladimir Dal was one of the greatest Russian language lexicographers. Listening Teacher: You have mentioned the name of Nicholas II. You know much about this outstanding person. And how much do you think about his family? Your classmates made a report. Take card 1. You will listen about Nicholas IIs family. Listen and say if the statements are true, false or not stated. Students prepared the report: Nicholas II. The Family Album. Nicholas II, the elder son of the emperor Alexander III, was born on 6 May, 1868. He was home-educated; he learned high-school programme and the course of the Law Department and of the General Staff Academy. Nicolas spoke English, German and French fluently. Nicholas also visited Greece, Egypt, India, China and Japan. It was a part of his education. Princess Darmshtadskaya Alisa first met the heir of Russian throne in 1884 at the wedding of her elder sister Elisabeth. Nicholas II wrote in his diary: I wish to marry Alisa. I love her for a long time but since 1889, when she spent 6 weeks in St.Petersburg, I love her stronger and deeper. I had been trying to run away from my feelings for a long time. It seemed impossible to realize my dream. On 14 November Nicholas II was married in Winter Palace Church with Alisa. Her orthodox name was Alexandra Fyodorovna. The birth of children. Every 2 years Alexandra Fyodorovna presented a daughter to her husband. The first daughter, Olga, was born on 3 November, 1895. Olga inherited her fathers kind eyes and her mothers nice figure. The second bright day in our family life, - wrote the Emperor in his diary, - at 10.40 a.m. God sent us a daughter On 29 of May, 1897 Tatiana was born. Grand duchess Tatiana was as charming as her elder sister, but in her own way. Marry was born on 14 July, 1899. Her highness was amazingly beautiful and liked to contact with small children. Anastasia was born on 5 June, 1901. Anastasia was short. She had a gift of mime. She was keen on drawing. On 30 June, 1904 a long-expected son was born. Alexei was ill. He inherited an illness from his grandmother. The heir to throne sometimes forgot to be careful and after each attach he became disabled for weeks or even months. Nicholas II loved his children much, he read them stories and organized family performances. Nicholas was happy when he was surrounded by his family. He liked to take part in their games, to walk with them and to feel their true love. In the evenings he read books by Russian classics for his family. The atmosphere in the family was ideal. Happy are those who work for peace; God will call them his children! Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires; the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them! Conclusion. Teacher: Today we have been talking about the saint family, some facts from their biographies, their characters.
