The Webometrics rating evaluates university websites by such parameters as fame, openness, excellence, and the level of citation of publications.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU), which is located in Almaty, has been considered the leader among multidisciplinary universities for several years in a row. KazNU is the first among the universities of Kazakhstan to have successfully passed international certification and received the certificate of the International Certification System IQNET.
