The trip of Lifetime

During the summer holidays, my friend David and I wanted to do something unusual. Instead of spending time sitting at home in front of the TV and playing computer games, as usual, we decided to go hiking in the mountains.

After getting permission from our parents, we started planning our trip. We made a list of all the products and things we would need, and spent the whole day looking for the best place to buy all of them. As a result, our tent, stove and sleeping bags cost us a lot of money.

When the day of the hike came, my Uncle Sam was kind and took us to the place from the very early morning; from there we had to go hiking. We knew that the journey would take us all day, and as we approached our destination, David and I were very worried.

When we arrived, it was already dawn. We happily waved to uncle Sam as he drove away. Then, after a bit of hassle and a lot of laughter, David and I went camping. When we were a little tired, we decided to have a snack. We sat down to our first meal – canned spaghetti – and we both agreed that it was the best meal we had ever eaten. Soon we continued on our way.

After 12 hours, we decided to set up a tent and stay for the night. In the warmth and comfort of our sleeping bags, we quickly fell asleep and began to dream about what our wonderful adventure would bring us tomorrow.
