This year marks the 90th anniversary of the founding of the country's leading university, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. January 15, 1934 is considered the day of the official opening of the first multidisciplinary university in Kazakhstan.

On the same day, the order on the teaching staff was signed and the admission of the first students began. Since the establishment of the university, he has made a great contribution to the socio-political life and economy of Kazakhstan. Today, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has taken a worthy place in the international scientific and educational space and has become one of the world's leading universities in the field of higher education.

Kaznu is a center that unites talented and gifted students.This educational institution, consisting of 16 faculties, is distinguished by high-quality teaching methods. Especially the Higher School of Economics and Business. This faculty consists of four departments equipped with a modern base, including the Department of Finance and Accounting, which is the best department. The faculty has specialized classrooms equipped with appliances. There is also a library equipped with a rich fund of scientific and educational literature. Students prepare for classes in specialized reading rooms, educational and methodical classrooms, there are computer classes where practical, laboratory classes are held and exams are taken in a test form.

The Department of Accounting and Auditing at the Higher School of Economics and Business of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was established on April 27, 2004. Today the department is called "Finance and Accounting" and is a department for the training of highly qualified specialists who are competitive in the field of accounting and auditing, finance. This department is constantly working to improve the quality of the teaching staff.

Every year, the teaching staff is sent for advanced training to leading foreign universities. The Department of Finance and Accounting teaches more than 60 disciplines in Kazakh, Russian and English. Along with compulsory subjects, elective subjects are also studied. Features of elective courses at the department-much attention is paid to practical activities in the training of accountants working in various sectors of the economy.

Since the 2012-2013 academic year, a group of students studying only in English has been enrolled in the specialty "Accounting and Auditing". Today, after receiving our students' diplomas, any student in demand in the market, without interrupting the educational process, has the opportunity to study and receive a certificate of a certified experienced accountant under the CIRA certification program in the field of international accounting. Upon passing the exams for the CIRA certificate, students on the qualifications of auditors of the Republic of Kazakhstan take exams into account among themselves.

Within the framework of academic mobility, the Department of Finance and Accounting - Entrepreneurial University as a model for proper managerial interaction among education, science and innovation development hosts many other scientific conferences, symposiums, exhibitions. Every year, teachers take part in international scientific and practical conferences and seminars.

Students of the faculty take part in various international and national conferences and competitions. Students of the Faculty of Economics not only master professional training, but also actively participate in public life.

The faculty's Youth Committee organizes various Olympiads, KVN (KVN), meetings with famous people. Intellectual discussion clubs are organized outside the faculty, organizing various debates, intellectual games and round tables. The student dean's office functions in the educational process, the purpose of which is to introduce elements of self-government, organize cultural, mass and sports work of young people, promote a healthy lifestyle, and promote the improvement of the educational process.
