Three-level training of marketing specialists at KazNU

The NAO "Al-Farabi Kazakh National University" trains marketers at three levels: bachelor's degree - master's degree - doctoral degree. There are double degree programs with RUDN. In the specialty "International Marketing".

A marketer "translation - studying the market" is a specialist who develops a plan and scheme for promoting a product or service of a particular company. The goal of a marketer is to build a sales system, as well as increase awareness and gain superiority of the brand over competitors. How does a marketer work? The customer company comes to a specialist or his agency with a clearly defined goal: to increase the number of sales, increase demand, increase brand awareness, etc. The marketer, in turn, studies the client's profile, identifies the needs of clients in order to offer a product or service more profitably. Thus, the marketer tries to satisfy the needs of the client. The marketer tries to impose on the consumer the idea of ​​​​buying a product or service of a certain brand or from one company. In the future, if a marketer works correctly, there will be fans and admirers of a brand who constantly buy its products from one company, for example, fans of Adidas or Toyota. What tasks does a marketer face?

-market analysis. That is why nowadays people with a technical mindset, rather than a humanitarian one, often become marketers. You need to be able to analyze purchasing power, study the target audience and build communication with them,

-assessment of competitors in the market. You need to find out how competitors work, reviews about them and about the sale of their goods,

-pricing and product range formation. It is marketers who come up with promotions, promo codes, division of prices and goods for middle-class people and richer ones, for example, Nissan and Infiniti are products of the same company, but are sold in different price categories; also marketers came up with the idea of ​​not raising the price of milk, but reducing the volume in the package,

-forming marketing activities to increase demand and brand awareness,

-thinking through advertising, setting tasks for designers, copywriters, marketers, etc.

So, a marketer is a specialist who creates demand for a product or service in order to increase the number of brand fans and connect buyers and the company for a long time.

Thus, this is an interesting profession. Therefore, you need to think in advance whether to enroll in a marketer in 2022 or not.
