Good afternoon, dear guests. I’m also glad to see you here today. Now you know about the contest’s tasks for the 1-2 grade students and I propose you to go on and to know about the tasks for the 3-4th grade students.

Now we can name the hidden words all together, but students should write them in the form.
Another vocabulary task is crossword. You can see an example on the board. I need a helper, please, I will read the definition you will try to guess the word and our volunteer will fill in the crossword, please.

Thank you very much, you were great!
Children will be given pictures instead of the definitions. It will be easier, of course.
The next part of our future contest will be listening. Not an audio, not a reading from the teacher, this year we tried to make it more interesting: Giving directions. There will be a road with various signs: circles, triangles, ovals, stars and so on in different colors. This way will end with the table with different interesting things on it. The task is following: to listen to the directions attentively, do all of them correctly, and come back to the team.
So, Grammar is the task number 3 in our English competition. This year we decided to make it in the way of the game “Moments”. Do you know this game? There will be a picture on the screen. Our participants will be given the opportunity to look at the picture during 3 minutes. They can make notes: numbers, names, dates, for example. After 3 minutes the picture will disappear from the screen and teams should answer the questions about the hidden picture in written form. Let’s try to play it together and understand the details.
And the last part of the regional English contest will be “Speaking” as well and the game “What’s in the box?”. Funny and interesting game not only for students, but also for grown-ups, especially teachers. So, there is something in the box, you should take it, touch it carefully from all of the side and give the answer for the main question “What is in the box?”. If you don’t know the answer, you have an opportunity to ask three questions about the color, size or belonging, e.g. Is it an animal? If now you know the answer, you name the thing and be ready to describe it. 5 team members – 5 sentences, 2 points for each sentence – 10 points total. I’m sure everything is clear, let’s try to play?
So, dear guests, our workshop is over, I hope it was not only informative, but interesting and funny. If you have any questions, you can ask and we will try to answer.
